Canadian by design
Stored, processed, and (this is the part most tools can't say) inferenced on Canadian-owned infrastructure, under Canadian law. Your evidence is never shipped to a US provider to be read.
Your conversations aren't kept
The AI infrastructure BeReady runs on retains neither what you put in nor what comes back. Nothing you share trains a model. That's an architectural property, not a setting you have to find and switch off.
Beyond US reach
Because your data isn't held by American companies, US data-access law has nothing to compel.
No hyperscalers

Does BeReady replace the official B Impact Assessment?
No. B Corp certification still happens through B Lab’s official process.
BeReady is the preparation layer: it helps you understand what applies, organize your evidence, test your documentation, and stay ready so the official certification process is easier to navigate.
Is the new standard really that different from before?
Yes. The old points score is gone, replaced by firm requirements you must meet in each of seven impact areas. You can no longer lean on a strong area to cover a weak one. Certification is now checked by an independent third-party auditor rather than self-reported, and you're expected to show measurable progress every year. It's a real shift, which is why even established B Corps are working through what it means for them.
How does BeReady know which requirements apply to me?
Your Business Profile captures information such as your size, sector, and where you operate. BeReady uses that profile to narrow the full standard to the requirements relevant to your business and organizes them into your readiness plan.
I'm already a certified B Corp. Does BeReady help with recertifying under the new standard?
That's one of the situations it's most useful for. Recertification now means meeting the new standard, with its audit and continuous-improvement expectations. BeReady helps you see where your existing practices already line up, where the new requirements open gaps, and what to do about them — so the transition is steady rather than a surprise at recertification.
Will BeReady guarantee I certify?
No, and no software honestly can. Certification decisions remain with B Lab and the independent review process.

Can I keep using ClickUp or Asana?
Yes. BeReady is designed so project-management work can remain in the tools your team already uses, while the underlying certification evidence and readiness status stay in BeReady..
Do I need to be pursuing certification to use BeReady?
No. You can use BeReady to understand where your business stands without committing to a certification timeline. For B-Curious businesses, that can be valuable in its own right.
How much time does BeReady actually require from me?
A few minutes per week, declining over time as BeReady learns your business. Our review queue is designed to surface only what genuinely needs a human eye — everything we can handle automatically, we do.
Can I involve my team?
Yes. Team workflows are an area we’re actively developing with Early Partners so certification work can be shared rather than becoming one more responsibility carried entirely by the owner.
Is my financial data secure?
Yes. We connect to accounting platforms using read-only API access — we cannot make changes to your accounts. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We will never sell your data. That is a founding commitment, not just a policy.
What does AutoCapture access? Can I control it?
AutoCapture only accesses what you explicitly connect. When you set it up, you choose the specific folders, drives, or email labels you want it to read — nothing else is ever scanned. You can revoke access to any source at any time, pause scheduled scans, and review a complete log of everything it has processed. Your files are never used to train AI models. That is a founding commitment, not a policy.
Where is my data stored, and who can access it?
We're building BeReady to keep your data in Canada. It's stored on infrastructure run in Canada by Canadian-owned providers, with AI processing and email infrastructure chosen the same way, and deliberately off the major US cloud platforms. The aim is to keep your records under Canadian jurisdiction and outside the reach of foreign data-access laws like the US CLOUD Act. For a business handing over financials, HR records, and policies, we think where your data lives should be a feature, not an afterthought.
What is the Council?
The Council is an AI advisory capability currently in development. It combines knowledge of the B Corp standard with the context contained in your BeReady evidence library, allowing it to respond to questions about your certification readiness and, increasingly, decisions affecting your business. It is designed to support human judgment, not replace it.
When does BeReady launch?
